Thomas “Tom” LaTorre, Esq.

Thomas LaTorre (“Tom”) is an attorney at Safe Harbor Law Firm, working out of the firm’s Fort Myers office. With a reputation for being attentive and client-focused, Thomas has supported families across Lee and Collier County in building customized estate plans designed to mirror their priorities, objectives, and long-term intentions.

Since joining Safe Harbor, Tom has guided hundreds of individuals and families across Florida through the estate planning process with clarity, compassion, and a strong focus on long-term asset protection. He is dedicated to helping clients understand their options and feel confident in decisions that safeguard their loved ones and preserve their legacies. Tom also regularly presents educational workshops, where he helps demystify estate planning, address common misconceptions, and explain how proactive planning can protect families from long-term care costs and other unforeseen risks.

Tom graduated cum laude from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in history. A New Jersey native, he later moved to Florida and earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples. During law school, Tom received book awards in legal writing and contracts, was a full scholarship recipient, and earned recognition for submitting the top-scoring appellate brief in his first-year oral advocacy competition. He also served as Executive Notes Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review and as a teaching assistant for legal writing courses. Upon graduation, Tom was honored with the St. Raymond of Penyafort Award, presented annually to the student who most excels in written advocacy.
Prior to joining Safe Harbor, Tom litigated contract disputes involving homeowner’s insurance policies throughout Florida. Outside of the office, he enjoys going to the gym, watching sports, and spending time with his family on Marco Island
