Helen Mena, Esq. – Senior Associate Attorney

Helen Mena is a Senior Associate Attorney at Safe Harbor Law Firm and is based in the Naples office. She began her practice at Safe Harbor from 2022-2024, and joined us again in 2025. She counsels individuals in the areas of trust and estate planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, and related residential real estate transactions. For her efforts in assisting her clients, Helen was recognized as one of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch of 2026 by the Best Lawyers of America.

Helen earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in French and Russian language at the University of South Florida. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Ave Maria School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and was an executive board member of the Moot Court Board and an editor of the Law Review. Helen is currently a Master of Laws in Taxation Candidate at Georgetown University School of Law, where she endeavors to obtain the knowledge to counsel her clients in charitable giving and tax efficient wealth transfers.

Helen interned at various organizations during her law school career, including the Low Income Tax Clinic of Florida Rural Legal Services of Fort Myers, Florida, the Florida Counsel Against Sexual Violence of Tampa, Florida, and the United States Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Office of Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She has also authored several scholarly articles.

A true Naples native, Helen loves spending time at the beach with her family or taking afternoon walks with her Pomeranians. In her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling.
