Thomas LaTorre (“Tom”) is an associate attorney at Safe Harbor Law Firm. Tom graduated cum laude from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in history. A New Jersey native, Tom later moved to Florida and graduated cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples. During his time at Ave Maria, Tom earned book awards in his legal writing and contracts classes and was a full scholarship recipient. During the first-year oral advocacy competition, Tom was awarded for submitting the top-scoring appellate brief. Tom also served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant for the legal writing classes. At graduation, Tom was recognized with the St. Raymond of Penyafort Award, awarded each year to the graduating student who most excels in written advocacy. Prior to joining the Safe Harbor team, Tom litigated contract disputes related to homeowner’s insurance policies across Florida. During his free time, Tom enjoys going to the gym, watching sports, and visiting his family on Marco Island.
