Helen Mena, attorney at Safe Harbor Law Firm, is committed to caring for those in need. Helen earned dual bachelor’s degrees in both French and Russian Studies from the University of South Florida. During her undergraduate career, she became a polyglot, speaking a total of five languages. Helen was also a featured speaker at USF’s World Language Research Colloquium and proceeded to study abroad at Moscow State University, earning a Certificate overseas in Intermediate Russian Language.

Helen then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ave Maria School of Law, where she was a Senior Editor of the Law Review, Vice President of Events of the Moot Court Board, and a full-tuition scholarship recipient. During her time at Ave Maria School of Law, Helen was published twice in The Gavel, Ave Maria Law’s Moot Court Board Law Journal. A fierce advocate, she represented Ave Maria at several national competitions. For her continued commitment to the legal profession during her law school studies, Helen was awarded the Dean’s Professionalism Award and the Pro Bono Recognition Award.

Currently, Helen is enrolled at Georgetown University’s Law Center to earn a Master of Laws in Taxation. She hopes to apply this newfound knowledge to better serve her clients.

During her free time, Helen enjoys reading and learning foreign languages before traveling to the countries in which they are commonly spoken. A Naples native, Helen spends most of her stateside time with her family.
