Lisa Fowler – Paralegal

Lisa Fowler brings decades of diverse legal and professional experience to her role. Her legal career includes work with several prominent law firms, including Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, where she supported immigration and healthcare attorneys preparing Certificates of Need for nursing homes; Buckley, King & Bluso, focusing on employment law and school bus driver unions; Glimcher Development, handling mall acquisitions; and Roetzel & Andress, where her work centered on environmental and construction law. In 2003, she relocated to Fort Myers with a colleague from Roetzel & Andress.
Following her time at Roetzel & Andress, Lisa held key paralegal roles at Hahn Loeser & Parks as a litigation paralegal and at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney as a commercial real estate paralegal. She also served as an in‑house litigation paralegal for Herc Rentals, working closely with the Claims Department on matters involving rental equipment accidents.
Lisa has been deeply involved in the paralegal profession and legal education. She was a founding member of the Gulf Coast Paralegal Association, serving in multiple board positions, and held an advisory board role at Edison College (now Florida SouthWestern State College), where she assisted with American Bar Association accreditation for the paralegal program. She also taught review courses for individuals preparing for the NALA Certified Paralegal examination.
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Lisa began her career in General Motors’ Labor Relations Department while still in high school. After graduating, she served as a General Purpose Vehicle Mechanic in the United States Air Force at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina, where she met her husband. The couple later returned to Ohio following his medical discharge after nine years of military service. Lisa subsequently completed the Academy of Court Reporting Paralegal Program, graduating with a 3.9 GPA and earning consistent placement on the Dean’s List.
In June 2019, Lisa joined the Lee County Clerk of Court as a Court Clerk and later transitioned to the Office of the Courts Administrator as a Guardianship Case Manager. In that role, she played a key role in developing guardianship case management processes and helped reduce the caseload by approximately 6,000 cases in under two years.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
